Diros Technology Inc. was founded in 1983 to continue the complete product line of radiofrequency lesion generators and accessories of OWL Instruments Ltd. of Toronto, Canada. The key personnel of OWL Instruments became part of Diros Technology, thereby assuring the same high level of reliability, service, and innovation that have always typified the OWL product line. For over 30 years OWL/Diros have produced RF generators and electrodes used throughout the world for the treatment of neurosurgical disorders and the relief of pain. OWL was the first to manufacture an integrated system combining impedance, stimulus, and RF lesion functions, a fact reflected in our instrument name to this day, the Universal RF System, now model URF-2A.
